Description
The painter Chop leads a tour of the « painting house », bathed in the colours of time, where he has lived and worked since May 1970. A reflection linking the four seasons of nature with the four stages of life. Dressed in 18th century costume on the first Sunday of each season.
The painter Chop, who lives in this magical place, has been working on the theme of time since May 1970. A reflection that weaves together the four seasons of nature with the four stages of life. The house features giant figurative murals, both indoors and outdoors, furniture (such as a dreamlike four poster bed, with a changed décor every three months, covered in real foliage in Autumn), 18th century costumes for to travel and receive visitors on the first Sunday of each season, all set amidst a profusion of sumptuous fabrics and a forest of antique and contemporary candlesticks, the latter heralding a second house currently under construction, inspired by the future !
Visitors are free to take photographs or film.
